I just wanted to say thank you for filming our Wedding at Chatham Bars Inn on September 25th 2006! The rushes from your filming are excellent and perfect for editing with! I love the details you have captured, from a bumblebee hanging around when we were having photographs taken to capturing the atmosphere with guests chatting and laughing. It was great to work with you, I have to say it was so nice to open my door on the morning of the wedding and have someone as bright and energetic as you there to film it!! You were so unobtrusive and know some of the guests including my Brother, who was a cameraman, really enjoyed chatting with you about your work. Looking at the footage is like being there again with a fresh set of eyes!

Many Thanks! Rachael & Joe G., London, Wedding at Chatham Bars Inn, Chatham, September 2006

We just got home from our honeymoon - and the dvd was waiting at the door. I can't even tell you how FABULOUS it is. You did an excellent job. I've watched it three times - Jesse is ready to kill me I think :) We are so
grateful to have you document our ceremony so well. We are going to put a link to your company on my blog - and our florist is going to contact you
about maybe using a splice on their web site. They thought you did such a
great job shooting the flowers. So thank you again - we'd gladly recommend you to anyone that might need a videographer.
Also - I think my mom is going to call you tomorrow to get another copy :)

Thanks again, Anne, Morristown, NJ, Ceremony at Holy Redeemer Church, Chatham, July 2006

I didn't get to meet you at the wedding, but I am Anne Khoobiar Heap's mother. She just sent me a clip of the video that you took. I was very proud that I didn't cry like a baby at the wedding, but upon viewing the video, I've gone through 1/2 box of tissues! You did an incredible job - thank you, thank you, thank yo u.... I was especially impressed because you were not visible during the ceremony (either that or I was totally oblivious!!!) Again, kudos for a fantastic job.

We so much appreciate the work that you did for us for our wedding. I cannot think of a more cherished memory than our video. We have watched it with tears in our eyes on more than one occasion. It is clearly one of the best decisions we made regarding our wedding services. The quality is excellent, and those who watch it with us, and so very impressed! We thank you again!"

Rigging Lures -101 Instructional Video
on How To Rig Lures & Leaders for Offshore (DVD)

..."You can read about these things in many books, but as far as I'm concerned, watching someone do it is far better. The camera work in this DVD is excellent, and in some ways using this format is even better than watching someone do the rigging in person because you can watch details of the process repeatedly to pick up little tricks that may be hard to figure out..." HEY, there's a fire in your television!

That's what Outer Cape tube-types will be saying as they click around the dial this Christmas. Lower Cape TV, the region's community access channel, is presenting nearly 24 hours of the original reality show: a fire in a Dennis fireplace.

Lower Cape TV producer Elena Bowman sits by her fireplace with a fire video she filmed for the station that will air this weekend. WPIX in New York City began the tradition back in 1966

''In my dream world viewers will just turn it on, turn the sound up a little bit to hear the crackling, and just forget about it,'' said Lower Cape TV program director James Paul Ludwig. ''Maybe every once in a while they can look over and it will warm their heart.''

The yule log concept is already tried-and-true. WPIX-TV in New York City lit the flame in 1966, broadcasting a looped snippet of the fireplace at Gracie Mansion, the mayor's residence.

''The crew singed a priceless oriental carpet,'' said WPIX spokesman Ted Faraone. ''They weren't invited back.''

Despite the rug burn and miffed mayor, WPIX beamed out the yule log show on Christmas eves and mornings from 1966 to 1989, usually in two-to-four-hour chunks, backed by holiday music. After a nostalgia-fueled grass-roots campaign, the broadcast returned in 2001. And it usually won its Christmas morning slot in the Nielsen television ratings, said Faraone, ''unless there's a good football game on.''

The Lower Cape TV yule log will take a good thing and make it even longer. Ludwig said the televised fire will start at 9:30 p.m. Dec. 24 and run through 8 p.m. Christmas Day.

Producer Elena Bowman shot the video last weekend at her house in Dennis.

''This is a professional fire,'' she promised. ''It looks perfect, with nice logs, but behind it all there are wood pellets, which make a nice crackling and popping noise. I used two microphones to get it in stereo.

''Of course, pellets make a lot of smoke,'' said Bowman. ''So after an hour I had to stop filming and open all the windows.''

The yule log idea had been percolating for several years at the Lower Cape cable TV access station, Ludwig said.

''What I like is the minimalist concept,'' he said. ''We decided to keep it really simple, just the snap, crackle and pop of the fire. We figured everybody is going to have their own music at home.''

Lower Cape TV, located in Orleans, has been home to plenty of ambient programming over the years.

''We've had horses jumping, bird feeders, boats going through the Cape Cod Canal, and people really seem fascinated,'' said Ludwig. ''And I've tried to pitch 'The Vacuum Channel,' and 'Doorknobs of America,' but so far no one is interested.''

A roaring conflagration, however, seems a surefire ratings winner. ''No human will appear in the film,'' guaranteed Bowman.

''At one point I was a little scared because a spark flew right out at the camera, but I kept shooting.''

The late Fred Thrower, the WPIX general manager who created the original yule log program was quoted as saying the show was for ''all the cave dwellers in New York, all the apartments that don't have fireplaces.''

Ludwig and Bowman are hoping to reach the brave year-round souls who call the Outer Cape home.

''In so many ways, the television has replaced the fireplace in modern culture,'' said Ludwig. ''But a fire is so primal and it's the darkest time of the year. People want to stay together and stay warm. Maybe our yule log will help.''
